About the Author
J. Marc. Merrill began writing at the age of 14, beginning with short stories, then novels, stage plays and screenplays. He has taught English at 5 different colleges, including Arizona State University, Arizona State Prison for Central Arizona College, and Kauai Community College in Hawaii. He retired from teaching after becoming intrigued by the Great Pyramid. More than five years of intense research have gone into the writing of Books Written in Stone.

Written with insight, passion, and authority

J. Marc. Merrill's scrutiny of the Great Pyramids unearths surprises galore. Surprises I found difficult to accept. Did I say difficult? IMPOSSIBLE would be more precise. Impossible, until you realize how his implausible concepts are supported by an extensive list of facts, footnotes and authoritative sources, not the least of which is common sense. The author is so analytical, that every stone, every step, inch, crack...is literally of 'monumental' importance.
The mystery that veils the design and construction of the Giza pyramids is still debated. And now that Mr. Merrill has chimed in, he's sure to light a fire under the accepted theories advocated by most Egyptologists. Hopefully they will find this treasure and read it from cover to cover.
Even if you don't know a cartouche from a cartoon, you will be hooked in the mystery like the one unraveled in WRITTEN IN STONE VOL 1. There better be a Vol 2.

With masterful detail and documentation (15 pages of works cited), J. Marc Merrill relates evidences that the Great Pyramid was truly designed with God's intervention.
J. Marc Merrill brilliantly and minutely dissects each detail of the Great Pyramid and how it relates to divine scriptural beliefs found from ancient hidden records of scripture. He begins each chapter with a powerful passage of quoted scripture.
Merrill shows evidence of details in the Great Pyramid that have God like significance. I got chills when I read that the great prophet "Enoch," played a divine role in establishing the design of the Great Pyramid. His findings are meticulously documented and referenced. On p. 318, J. Marc Merrill states that, "Christ's presence is throughout the King's Chamber, and especially so in the sarcophagus." Wow!!! You must read this book to find out more electrifying truths.
Many exciting mysteries about religion are convincingly defended.
His findings significantly improve our understanding of our modern day existences. The book contains Heavenly messages that God wants us to know today.
I highly recommend this book.

Some good ideas

There are some real eye opening ideas that are worth developing further. Unfortunately, the topic is so broad that greater detail could not be given to each strategy. Perhaps the author will develop each strategy in its own book. I would have given a 4 star rating but chose not to because of the multiple over attempts to promote a newsletter. This book is certainly worth the price paid and time spent reading it.

If they had communicated sooner they could have avoided a LOT!

Annabel- Lee, known as Lee, is an assistant to a wine buyer. She and her boss are on their way to another potential supplier in France. Once there she meets Gilles Frebourg, Comte de Chauvigny whom she had known years ago. When she was sixteen one of her friends had written the 25 year old Gilles a letter that was forged in Lee's hand and signed Lee's name to the letter. Gilles was not happy to be the recipient of such a vulgar letter and let Lee know this. She was heartbroken and embarrassed because she actually did have a very bad crush on him.

Gilles takes advantage of Lee's presence by telling a rather forward woman who has been his mistress that he and Lee are engaged to be married. He proceeds to blackmail Lee after the woman leaves. Gilles has kept the letter that she had "written" all those years ago and threatens to reveal the contents to Lee's very proper fiancé, Drew, unless she agrees to marry him and stay with him for awhile. He tells her that they will part ways after a brief period of time and she can then return to her fiancé as though nothing has happened. Drew never needs to know. Gilles does not want to marry the other woman, Louise, as she is rather free with her favors and he doesn't want to have a wife that is like that plus he wants some land that her father will sell to him. Lee feels trapped and so she agrees to his outrageous blackmail. Gilles believes she is not a virgin and treats her accordingly. He is very hateful and mean to her throughout their marriage. Not only does she have to deal with Gilles and his erroneous beliefs but she also has to deal with the housekeeper which was recommended by the ex-mistress, Louise, and Louise herself. When Gilles discovers that she is a virgin her is further incensed. However from that one time she finds herself pregnant and Gilles feels that she doesn't want the baby while she comes to realize she still loves a man who may not ever love her. When Lee realizes she still loves Gilles she breaks off her engagement to Drew. Louise is behind several more machinations that befall Lee and Gilles eyes are slowly opened to what is going on around him. Gilles ends up defending her honor and it makes up for a lot of the hurt that he had inflicted upon Lee over the course of their marriage.

A keeper

I like this book, but I have to say the leading man in this story infuriated me with his attitude most of the book. With that said, it is a keeper and I will read it again. The female lead was believable and very sweet.

Although I REALLY wanted to SLAP the hero in this story for his over aggressive attitude to the heroine, it was a pretty fair story.

An Epic Love Story that has it all. Simply Outstanding.

What a beautiful and emotional story this is.

I loved Lost Prelude, the first book in the series, and I couldn’t wait for the author to write the next one.

And Ella Maise does not disappoint.

Lost Heartbeats is not an intensified version of Lost Prelude. That would be me undermining the first book. They are both emotional, intense, and. . .

This series is simply one of my favorites and one of the best I’ve read.

Alexander and Maya’s story is a truly beautiful one and one exceptionally written.

Ella Maise has delivered a magnificent love-story that goes beyond romance. It speaks of an epic love that goes beyond borders, beyond grief, and beyond everything, even themselves.

As an avid reader, both you and I know there are thousands of other books, especially romance and even erotica. BUT THIS STORY is worth-reading. THIS STORY must be read.

Alexander and Maya’s relationship survives one storm after the other. Both of them are struggling with grief, which does a comeback and almost brings them to their knees.

One of the many things I loved about this book is that both of them hold on to each other. They fight for each other. And they empower each other. When Alexander is down, Maya brings light back to his heart. When Maya is in the dark, Alexander does not give up. He stays and fights. He doesn’t let go.

They have this magnetizing bond that is indescribable. It has a life of its own that leaves the pages and become something more.

The author’s writing is beautiful, with quality, and the books reflect that. Each book is remarkable and gives you that extra-something that makes you connect with the characters. That makes you care.

This isn’t a simple story with steamy scenes. This is an epic love-story that has it all. Love. Laughter. Tears. Drama. Grief. Hope.

If you haven’t read this series yet, I strongly recommend it from the bottom of my heart.

It’s an outstanding series, and it’s only the beginning for the author.

Congratulations to the author for this one! It couldn’t be better! And I couldn’t love it any more than I do.

Completely gutted me!

Ever come across a book that you know you just had to pick up after seeing a gorgeous cover or reading a blurb that pulls you in for an emotional ride? Well, call me guilty on all charges. After finishing the prologue novella, Lost Prelude which left me in hot mess of tears, I knew I had to pick the second one up.

The book put me through an emotional wringer as I found myself feeling angry, sad and happy throughout. There were times I wanted to punch Alex for his decisions but I also felt sorry given the position he was in. To learn about the devastating truth and not to mention, meeting his family made me want to punch so many people in this book! My poor little heart hurt for Alex.

But it was Maya that totally gutted me with another round towards the last portion of the book. It left me feeling all emotional and raw reading those scenes, the poor girl couldn't catch a break. At that point, I wanted to wrangle Alex so bad and just give Maya a tight hug. Luckily things sorted out soon enough and we were gifted with a beautiful epilogue.

Overall this duet took me by surprise a lot given that I'm new to this author but I got caught into the whirlwind of this story before I knew what hit me. It's so rare when you come across a book by chance and you end up liking it but this was just one of those moments where everything came together well. It had angst, it was emotional and it all came together in one love story with two broken souls who found what they needed in each other. My only wish is that I wished we got more closure on some of the side characters.

I'm definitely looking forward to read more from this author in the future and I can't wait to see what she can bring to the table next.

Maya” I enjoyed the cat and mouse game

This is a combo review for both Lost Prelude and Lost Heartbeats. No spoilers give but I must state a proclaimer!!....
Lost Prelude MUST be read prior to Lost Heartbeats. They go hand in hand.

“I still feel it. Do you?”

I choose to read this series by the covers alone. I didn’t pay any attention to the synopsis before I quickly clicked buy and buy. I started reading instantly forgetting my list of reads I try to stick with. I could tell with in the first chapter that I would be telling my bookies to read this series and come the end of book one I was do that exact thing.

“Maybe at another time this could’ve turned into something.”
“I believe it’s already something, Maya”

I enjoyed the cat and mouse game. I enjoyed that Maya was strong but when that wall crashed I was thrilled Alexander was there. Lost Prelude was just the kind of start two characters need to hook you so you continue reading. Yes, Lost Prelude is exactly as it sounds, prelude…don’t expect a marriage proposal. But expect a ride that will have you smiling and gripping your legs!

“So you aren’t like how you are with me with other people?”
“Definitely not.”
“God, I like that.”

Something that I am fond of beside the connection as the characters fall is angst. I love feeling their love and their power behind it but I also LOVE to feel other things. The angst given, it starts in Lost Prelude but the majority you see in Lost Heartbeats had me one happy camper. Even though I was upset with Alexander at one of the monumental times in his relationship with Maya I loved it all the same. The torn feeling for doing something he had to do compared to what he should have done was felt so vividly. It’s all about the old and new. How to make it work. How to make one the priority.

“I missed you. I’m here because of you, and I want to stay because of you. Since the first day I saw you, I’ve been slowly falling for you, and I’ve decided that I’m going to keep you.”

Having Alexanders POV in Lost Heartbeats was a prize for me. I had wished for it in Lost Prelude just because I was a greedy reader and wanted in his head. But, now being finished with both, if we had his POV in Prelude the elusiveness of his character wouldn’t have impacted the storyline as it did. I really didn’t want ALL of those answers so quickly.

I hate long series about the same couple because 90% of the time book after book after book you lose why you love and fell for those characters and your love for the story is lessoned. I 100% believe with the fantastic writing, the incredibly built characters, and the distinctive falling type of love they have that I really could read more and more of Alexander and Maya. I loved how it all concluded and pleased with how their life has been fulfilled, I just want more. Plain and simple and I must say wanting more rather than screaming make it stop is a huge plus. I fell hard for these characters and their story, I fell for the unique storyline and I fell for the writing that sucked me in.

I’m falling for you a little more every time you give me your smile, sweetheart
